What a wonderfully magical ending (OCH!) to a fabulous series. This series, and the characters, setting and the Magic have been such a wonderful place for me to escape to. We’ve waiting (not so patiently) for Agnes & Graham’s story, and this one blew it out of the water. (Haha, see what I did there?!)
We all knew that there was something there for these two, but what was it that was keeping them apart? I won’t share details, but it was a doozy, made more difficult by the fact that our heroine believed she had to work it all out on her own.
I LOVED that all of the previous characters showed up for this epic ending (SOB!), including the Familiars.
Well done, I’d give it 10 stars of I could. And those that are grieving the end of a beloved series as I am, all is not lost. There is another magical series on its way (BUT WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL NEXT SPRING…AGAIN, OCH!) which ties in. We can only hope that these characters, who we’ve come to love, get to put in an appearance somehow, if only by reference.
A recommendation, if you love audio books, absolutely listen to this one. I both read and listened depending on what I was doing at the moment, and Will Watt and Amy Landon did a perfect job bringing all of these characters to life. Now excuse me while I wander around my house aimlessly until I can find another magical series to get lost in.
